Here are steps to take so your Kraft benefits reflect your new life situation. Note: Most Kraft benefits that apply to a spouse apply to a qualifying domestic partner.

• Review your and your spouse's 2010 benefit elections, and make any necessary changes within 31 days after your marriage.

• Know how the spousal surcharge works if your spouse waives health care coverage at work to join Kraft’s plan (applies to domestic partners, too).

• Update your beneficiary information for your Kraft benefit plans, and verify your personal information.

• Increasing your Health Care Flexible Spending Account contributions.

• Increasing your Thrift 401(k) Plan contributions, if possible.

• Applying for new or increased long-term disability coverage.

• Exploring the Optional Protection Programs, including life and accident insurance, for your spouse.

• Learning how Kraft’s medical and dental plans coordinate with any other coverage your family has. Coverage under two different plans will not result in double payment.
