Additional Benefits
Paid Time Off (PTO) for Salaried Employees
(Hourly Employees see Vacation)
The 5-Year Bonus Week replaces the service award program for salaried employees effective January 1, 2008.
When you reach five-year service milestones (5-, 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-year anniversaries etc.), you’ll receive the gift of an extra week of PTO to be taken in the calendar year following your milestone. In subsequent years, you would have the normal number of PTO days based on your years of service.
-
For full-time employees, this equals five more days off.
-
For part-time employees, you receive one week of your normally scheduled hours off. For example, if you work 24 hours/three days per week, this equals an additional 24 hours of PTO for your 5-Year Bonus Week.
The 5-Year Bonus Week days must be taken consecutively and cannot be carried over. And, if unused, these days are not paid out if you leave the Company or retire.
For Example
If you reach your 10-year anniversary in 2009:
-
You will become eligible for 30 days of PTO in 2009.
-
You will become eligible to take your 5-Year Bonus Week in 2010. You’d have a total of 35 PTO days for 2010: your 30 PTO days plus your 5-Year Bonus Week.
-
Then in 2011 you would have the normal 30 PTO days for 12 years of service.
NOTE: Group service recognition events, retirement service recognition events and the retirement gift program all remain.
